TO-Can

The 4 pin, TO 56-can (5.6 mm) is only available for open beam laser delivery. The TO-can is compact, often with an outer diameter less than 10mm, and has beam delivery perpendicular to the base of the package making it extremely desirable to surface mounting applications. It comes standard with a circularized and collimated output beam, internal thermistor, laser line filter, and ESD protection. It has Single-Spatial-Mode/TEM00, and Single-Frequency Output. The TO is surface mounted and must be compression mounted in a Thermo-Electric Cooler (TEC) and heat sink to guarantee wavelength stable performance. We can offer the TO-56 mounted with TEC and heat sink in our A-type gimbal (-GUTS option). Wavelength options are available from the red to the NIR.
